SARMS in More Detail
SARMS are not steroidal in nature and were originally developed for the treatment of muscle wasting diseases as well as hormone replacement therapy.
However, along the way athletes noticed that their selective action meant that they could mimic the beneficial muscle growth effects of steroids such as testosterone, but because they were acting directly on the desired receptor, the unwanted side effects did not occur.
More specifically, SARMS only act upon muscle and bone receptors which means that male pattern baldness and other androgenic effects simply aren’t a concern.
Using SARMS
Although SARMS have been made illegal for use in competitions by WADA, there’s still a growing demand for them in the athletic a bodybuilding communities.
Some sources have suggested that there are currently more than 300 different SARMS either on the market or in development. This is because many experts believe that SARMS will overtake anabolic steroids as the supplement of choice, providing lean mass without the bloating, gynecomastia and other side effects steroid users often have to contend with.
SARMS are extremely versatile too and can be used for comp, strength, cutting and bulking. There’s also the option to take many of them orally which is a popular choice for those users who don’t want to revert to intramuscular injections.
